Serve. Learn. Change the world. Help us raise $15,000 to support the National Youth Leadership Training!
Our belief that youth can make a difference is at the heart of NYLC’s National Youth Leadership Training. NYLT is a life-changing week of self-discovery, cultural exchange, leadership development, and service. Students arrive with a range of leadership experiences, and leave with:
NYLC is seeking funding to support this life-changing experience for more youth. Funding will help ensure costs to participants stay affordable and that NYLC can offer year-round support to teams as they implement their action plans addressing the achievement gap in their home communities.
Our goal for 2013 is to train 75 teams — each consisting of two or three students and one mentor — from 75 communities across the country. That's an increase of 240%!
Please join us in making these ambitious goals possible. Donate today!

Next summer, NYLC will expand the National Youth Leadership Training to three regional locations with the goal of reaching more youth for leadership in solving the achievement gap. In the summer of 2013, we plan to implement three weeklong National Youth Leadership Training sessions focused on the achievement gap.
In order to make this happen, we need to raise $15,000. Sounds easy enough, right? It is easy, but it all starts with you!
At the National Youth Leadership Council, we strive for a world where all young people are valued and called on to lead. With passion, creativity, and ingenuity, young people can address world issues while strengthening academic outcomes through service-learning. To that end, we provide programs and services that develop young leaders, support educators, and advance the field of service-learning. Visit www.nylc.org to learn more about NYLC and service-learning.
Our mission is to create a more just, sustainable, and peaceful world with young people, their schools, and their communities through service-learning.
