Help raise funds to commemorate and honor the lives of those killed in the tragic accident on March 7, 1950.
On March 7, 1950, Northwest Airlines Flight 307, a Martin 2-0-2 passenger plane from Pittsburgh via Detroit nicked its left wing on a flagpole at Fort Snelling Cemetery. The plane ended up losing the wing and crashing into a house at 1116 West Minnehaha Parkway belonging to the Doherty Family. Fifteen people lost their lives including two of the Dougherty children and 13 passengers and crew.
Help fund a memorial marker to honor those who perished. The marker will be located on Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board land opposite the site. The cost of the sign is estimated at $2,600.
