North Shore Health Care Foundation

Mission

The mission of the North Shore Health Care Foundation is to benefit health care for all those who live, work and visit in Cook County.

Programs

The North Shore Health Care Foundation holds a Charity Golf Tournament each year. The proceeds from this tournament are set aside to support the charitable funds distribution program which was initiated in 1998. Grants are given to non-profit health care organizations in Cook County for medical equipment and training. The Foundation also holds an annual health care conference which is free and open to the general public. Past conferences have included "Healthy Aging" and "Complimentary Medicine." Through memberships, the Foundation is able to offer a quarterly newsletter which serves as a vehicle and voice that reaches out to diverse and growing segments of Cook County's population. The Foundation also has a relationship with Minnesota Foundation to manage an endowment fund. This fund provides an appropriate vehicle for private contributions from donors in the form of annual gifts, memorials, bequests and other gifts. The long term goal for the Foundation is to fund a $2 million endowment.
