We have the privilege of riding as a father and daughter in this year's Habitat 500 to help six families into homes in N. St. Louis County

This year's Habitat 500 ride is special to us for many reasons.

  • Margie will be my first daughter to go on the Habitat 500 twice. My other two daughters have riden this event once (and felt that it was enough!) :)
  • Sara and I will be participating in this event for the TENTH time! Sara has volunteered for the last 10 years and I have ridden.
  • Here in North St. Louis County, Minnesota we are helping six families into homes and also building a permanent office/warehouse space. This is a big year for the organization and we need your help!
  • More and more of our neighbors are in desperate need for affordable homes and I am privileged to work together with you to help meet this need.

It has truly been a blessing to share the experience of long distance biking along with my love for Habitat for Humanity's home building ministry with my girls!

Margie and I are working on completed our training goal of riding 500 miles this summer in preparations to go on this trip. The weather has certainly made this a challenge but we are getting there!

We still lack a few dollars to meet our fundraising goal and would like to ask for your help! Would you consider a donation to Habitat to help us raise funds? Any amount would be a great encouragement as we like to have a lot of sponsors cheering us on as we pedal.

The biking event begins on July 14th in Becker near the Cities. We then will proceed on to overnight stops in Pierz, Aitkin, Grand Rapids, Cromwell, Mora before returning to Becker on July 20st.

More information about the rout and ride can be found on www.habitat500.org

Your thoughts, prayers and encouragement are greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Nathan and Margie
