Our progressive UU social justice voice needs to be heard more widely. Support MUUSJA with a contribution to increase our reach.

Minnesota Unitarian Universalist Social Justice Alliance was founded over 10 years ago.

The Minnesota UU Social Justice Alliance brings together UUs and UU congregations to work collectively for social change based on our religious imperative to create a just, sustainable, and peaceful world. We are following in the foot steps of dedicated and visionary UUs like Susan B. Anthony, Clara Barton, Pete Seeger, Margaret Sanger and many others who dedicated themselves to improving life for all people. Our goals are to:

  1. Build a lasting social justice organization.
  2. Prepare UUs to do powerful social change work, using a reflection, action, collaboration approach.
  3. Develop and bring a distinctly UU moral voice to the public square.
  4. Wage campaigns in coalition with interfaith and secular partners to achieve winnable systemic social change.
  5. Shift civic culture toward policies that serve the common good.

The Prairie Star District is MUUSJA's fiscal sponsor, and funders include the UU Service Committee and the UU Funding Program. Your memberships and individual gifts, as well as donations from UU congregations, provide our most significant funding.
