Your Support Makes a Difference Today AMIGOS has an immediate and real-life impact. Last summer alone, AMIGOS Volunteers and Project Staff were able to partner with Latin American communities to achieve incredible results that benefited more than 300 communities and improved thousands of lives. An Investment in the Future AMIGOS positively enriches the lives of teenagers and young adults who participate in our programs each summer. AMIGOS Volunteers are the leaders of tomorrow. By investing in their training, global perspective and compassion, you have the power to positively shape our future. Program participants gain valuable leadership, communication and problem solving skills, as demonstrated by the Volunteer Survey Results. Your Financial Support Is Essential AMIGOS is funded entirely by contributions from individuals, corporations and foundations. It is the individual contributions from friends like you that enable us to continue to achieve excellence in programming and touch more lives. AMIGOS requires Volunteers pay a participation fee, but it covers only 58 percent of program expenses. We leverage every donation with hundreds of hours of adult volunteer support at the national chapter level and in Latin America. Your support is needed to support financially disadvantaged participants who need scholarship support, to help us continue to expand our reach and to ensure we can maintain the high quality of our programs.
