MNCASA assists local programs with advocacy and prevention programming, and affects public perception and policy related to sexual violence.

At MNCASA, we are proud to work with rape crisis centers, policy makers, medical providers, criminal justice partners, state departments, and local communities to provide support and services to victims/survivors, prevent sexual violence, and advocate for policy changes.

"One in three girls and one in six boys by the age of 18 will be victimized by some type of sexual violence; one in three wommen will be victimized at some point in their lifetime and in some communities the rates are even higher. It is not technically an epidemic because there has been no spike in incidence. Rather it is endemic, just the way it is. We are not okay with that being the norm that so many have to survive." Donna Dunn, Executive Director, MNCASA

"The daily work might seem small, but the impact of many small pieces over time can and does create momentous change." MNCASA Annual Meeting and Training Symposium participant

"Some issues are so central to the common good, that to leave it to someone else rather than to all of us is a mistake. What type of leadership helps to advance the thorny social challenge such as sexual violence?" Laura Bloomberg, Executive Director, Center for Integrative Leadership

"I think of my role as both the father of a 14-year-old male and as a business man...we can have more of an impact on preventing sexual violence." MItch Stevenson, Rochester CVB

Please help MNCASA continue our work in Minnesota. We need everyone to champion sexual violence prevention. The costs are high. The time is now. The bottom line is prevention.
