Donations made through this page will exclusively benefit the MSCSA Leadership Scholarship. The MSCSA Leadership Scholarship recognizes students who volunteer their time to become leaders on the campus, community, and state level. The Leadership Scholarship is funded through the generous donations of people from across the state. The Minnesota State College Student Association (MSCSA) is an association of the Minnesota public two-year college students, which works to ensure accessible, quality, and affordable public higher education while providing students with representation, leadership development, and communication across the state. Students work toward these goals in several different ways: Advocacy MSCSA advocates on behalf of students on both the state and federal level. Student representatives visit Washington, D.C. twice a year to meet with federal lawmakers. Elected student leaders and a full-time Director of Government Relations maintain a constant presence at the state Capitol. The Platform Committee identifies the specific goals and legislation the association will focus on in a given year. Education MSCSA seeks to educate students, faculty and the community on issues affecting higher education. This is achieved primarily through trainings at regular meetings, the Association Update and our quarterly newspaper, The Students’ View. Leadership Development MSCSA looks to positively impact higher education by developing the leaders and decision-makers of tomorrow. One way this is done is by providing opportunities for students to serve as leaders on a regional and state level. MSCSA also hosts a two day leadership conference each fall in addition to trainings presented at regular conferences. How we do this : We seek to accomplish these goals by holding meetings to develop our legislative platform, educate students on the issues, provide leadership trainings and conduct business. MSCSA provides funding for delegates from each region to attend these meetings. Any two-year college student is invited to be active in the Minnesota State College Student Association. Please contact either your local campus or call 1-877-63-MSCSA.

MSCSA gave me the potential to draw out the leadership and drive for advocacy that I had within. I had been given the chance to represent students from the local level all the way up to United States Senators. The experience I received during my time with MSCSA is what has made it possible for me to bring a community group from a fledgling group of citizens to now an official nonprofit, supporting MSCSA is supporting those that will become the foundation of society.

The Minnesota State College Student Association is an association that I hold closely to my heart. I know personally I have benifited greatly from the leadership trainings and leadership opportunities that the MSCSA has given to me. Its also an incredible sight to see the impact MSCSA has on the students of today. MSCSA helps jerks find their heart, the timid obtain self confidence, and the meek utilize their voice all at the same time in advocating for a noble cause of higher education in Minnesota. I'm honored to be able to say I served as a student leader, and now as a staff person for this organization and will be forever indebted for the positive impact this association has had on my life.

I support the MSCSA because it has supported me in so many different ways. I've become a developed leader, a stronger communicator, and overall a better person. It is through the opportunities that the MSCSA provides that students like myself can reach for an amazing future and help those that will follow me do the same. Thank you MSCSA!

The MSCSA has been one of the most important factors in my personal and professional development. From the grassroots supporters at the campus level, to the highly skilled and professional staff at the state office, I have met many of the people who have inspired me and helped to shape me and my goals through this wonderful organization. The work that they are doing here with their Leadership Scholarship fund is fundamental to the success of so many students, especially in these hard economic times. In this era of defunding higher education, it is imperative that groups like the MSCSA continue to support our developing leaders as they make their way through school. Thank you so much for all the work you do!!

This Association has inspired me to take my life to new limits and has really changed not only how I look at things in life, but also how I react to everything that goes on around me. It gave me a new perspective on all of the issues facing higher education, student access and success, and the barriers that are currently present affecting the timely graduation of students. I really do wish that I had more money to give to this organization and in time, I am sure that my small gifts back to the association and to the future leaders of this world will begin to add up and over the course of my lifetime, they will amount to a substantial amount! If I may borrow a concept from Mastercard to show how much this organization means to the State of Minnesota... ~ A small gift today to the Minnesota State College Student Association - $25.00 ~~ Hundreds of small gifts today for the current and future students of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system ~ PRICELESS! Donate a small amount today, it will be matched in some respect making your donation even larger in the end ~ then pass this site on to all of your friends and colleagues and let them know that by making a small donation today, they are contributing to scholarship funding that can and will make a huge difference in the life of a student! Thanks MSCSA for all that you have done, all that you do, and all that you will continue to do! It's been great and will continue to be a great organization!

While this may seem dramatic, this organization changed my life. Had it not been for my first student conference with the Minnesota State College Student Association, my involvement with politics and civic engagement may have fizzled as quickly as it began. When you advocate for students, you're advocating for the well-being of our state's (and nation's) people. State colleges and universities turn out large percentages of educated police officers, nurses, teachers, and other needed professions. Giving to the MSCSA is giving back to the State of Minnesota!
