The Minnesota Philharmonic Orchestra (originally "Minnesota Philharmonia") is Minnesota's GLBT Community Symphony Orchestra and was the first so-identified orchestra in the USA. Founded in 1993 by Kevin Ford, the Minnesota Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) is now in the midst of its 19th Concert Season. This year, we welcomed Maestro Jacob Sustaita as the MPO's new Music Director and Conductor.

    It's my pleasure to donate to the orchestra to help them in the process of the search for a new director. As a singing member of One Voice Mixed Chorus, we were under Joe's direction a couple years back. From the rehearsals to the musical outcomes, Joe has done amazing things for the orchestra, the organization, and the Twin Cities arts and social justice communities!

    Great concert Saturday evening. Best I have ever heard you play and the most fun concert since "Twas a Dark and Stormy Evening" 3 years ago or so.

    After witnessing a grassroots orchestra with a 16 year history play to a sold-out audience on Nov. 14th and featuring a woman composer and a woman poet besides the regulars, I have been moved. What better way to spend my money directly to such a thriving, creative, FUN organization. And I am not contributing to lining the pocket books of another CEO. It doesn't get any better than this. I can only smile.
