The Jaycees create the next generation of civic leaders by building their leadership skills through project management in our communities.
We engage young people through project management and social entrepreneurship that will make an impact in communities and build their leadership skills. Jaycees around the state are responsible for organizing community festivals, fundraisers for other nonprofits, and creating opportunities for community members to engage with one another. Statewide, the Minnesota Jaycees contribute an average of 17,000 volunteer hours, valued at over $3,000,000 each year, through direct service to communities and skill-building to more effectively lead in the community.

As a civic organization for young people, the Minnesota Jaycees are developing our next generation of civic leaders by providing young people the opportunity to stand up and take initiative in their community. Through the leadership of these young people in volunteerism and philanthropy, they make significant impact in their communities. Through leading projects as a part of their chapter, membership in the Jaycees has a significant impact on these young individuals. Over 50,000 young people over the last 20 years have worked as a Jaycee to improve quality of life, community cohesiveness, and engagement of young citizens in towns across Minnesota.
