Metro Meals on Wheels

Volunteering for Meals on Wheels only takes one hour and is simple and rewarding for individuals, groups, workplace teams, and families. Volunteers deliver much more than a meal - they bring a friendly smile, relieve isolation and provide peace of mind for recipients and their loved ones.

George told us how he’s not sure how he and his wife Lois would survive without assistance through the Meals on Wheels program. He said:

“She’s in the late stages of Alzheimer’s and, with the help of Meals on Wheels, our neighbors, and family, I can still provide her the 24 hour care she needs. I know we would be broke if she goes into a nursing home... I’m thankful for the physical and mental help I get from receiving Meals on Wheels."
