The Carnegie provides affordable art studio space and curates two monthly gallery exhibitions of work by regional artists.
The Carnegie Art Center is south central Minnesota's largest visual art gallery featuring the work of regional artists. In 2011 we are celebrating 30 years of documenting and presenting the contemporary culture of this distinctive region of greater Minnesota through the visual arts, craft and design.
The Carnegie Art Center’s goal is to present and facilitate fine arts programs that enhance access to our visual culture, that encourage visual literacy, and that encourage develop-
ment of artistic endeavors by members of our community. The Carnegie curates and exhibits some of the finest visual art exhibits in southern Minnesota.
The Gallery Program produces several community-based group shows during season including the Prairie Lakes Regional Art Exhibit annually with more than 80 regional artists participating.
The Carnegie Art Center volunteers curate two monthly exhibitions of fine arts by local and regional visual artists in many disciplines including painting, sculpture, ceramics, handblown glass, printmaking, fine craft, photography and digital art.
More than 3,000 visitors to the Gallery annually experience the creativity of local artists living and working in our local communities. The Gallery exhibits the work of artists of all ages - working with the local school districts, individual beginning artists, and emerging, professional visual artists in our area.
