Dance. Music. Theater. Life! Main Street School of Performing Arts (MSSPA) offers the best of both worlds — academic achievement and a passion for performing arts — a winning combination that prepares students for any stage of life.

Our four-year, tuition-free charter high school, conveniently located in downtown Hopkins, is open to students from throughout the metro area who are intersted in purusing a challenging academic curriculum, with an arts-intesive experience.

MSSPA offers smaller class sizes, greater personal attention from fully licensed instructors, guidance and counseling, special education, and gifted and talented services. Our students particpate in mulitple music, theater and dance classes and performances. Students form life-long bonds with their classmates, participate in social events, and enjoy a supportive, nurturing enviorment that encourages them to reach their greatest potential.

Our alumni have gone on to a broad range of post-secondary pursuits, including majors in Musical Theater, Biology, World Languages and much more, at schools across the country.

    The first day our son came home from school at MSSPA he said, "Mom, the teachers LIKE us!" And four years later, we continue to be grateful for that unwavering support and commitment that the MSSPA faculty and staff have for all the students, helping them to be good citizens and exemplary scholars.

    As a college grad and MSSPA alumnus, I can say with out any hesitation, doubt or caveat that my time spent at MSSPA made me the person I am today. And I like that person, a lot.

    I cannot believe I get to come to work each day at a place where not only do I get to do what I love, but I am surrounded by people who look at the world in a similar way. The students are amazing, the staff is alive, warm and caring and the art that is created each day is exciting, new and vital.

    My daughter was so lost at what high school to attend. Then a friend mentioned MSSPA and our choice was clear. Her personality shines at MSSPA I couldn't imagine her at any other school that offers such amazing opportunities to these kids.     What a spectacular arts school! They have the vision to not only integrate arts into an academically challenging curriculum in a meaningful way, but to recognize that life is an art as well.
