Raises funds for non-profit agencies serving Minnesota children and adults living with developmental disabilities and their families.
At Dakota Communities, people who are served are participants in life - not just spectators. With one vehicle for one facility in West St. Paul in 1973, Dakota Communities now has accessible vehicles at each of their thirty-three homes. Support from Tapemark Charity Pro-Am helped purchase accessible vehicles. Accessible vehicles are the headline, but the real story is about the life an accessible vehicle supports, a life of living, working, playing and volunteering fully in the community. You can help by making a gift to support community, accessibility, technology, recreational and outdoor activities for people served by Dakota Communities. Your donation will allow people with disabilities to do what they love. With your support they will enjoy a blazing campfire with friends, sing along at a concert, play hockey, attend a rodeo, or go for a relaxing swim. What can your generosity do? Dakota Communities is committed to partnering with people with disabilities to achieve their personal goals and potential. Donor support is critical, as government reimbursements only cover basic needs. $25 pays for a Timberwolves ticket $60 provides a pool pass for 6 months $70 pays for music therapy at a home $500 allows 15 people to attend an Arboretum class $850 provides a 4-day Boundary Waters dogsledding trip
