A donation to the Learning Law & Democracy Foundation helps to educate a future generation of responsible citizens equipped to participate in a democracy.

LL&D is a respected and unbiased resource for middle and high school civics, government, and social studies teachers, primarily in Minnesota, but throughout the country. We also administer a variety of student programs that provide real-world exposure to how a democracy works. Programs include nationally acclaimed We the People: the Citizen and the Constitution and Project Citizen.

On the heels of recent contentious election cycles, there is overwhelming evidence for the need to engage citizens in a better understanding of how to participate in government processes. Divisive elections are eroding our country’s ability to achieve well-considered public policy, and our quality of life.

Your contribution will:

• Support engaging programs for students that teach about politics, the Constitution, our government and use our State Capitol as the classroom

• Support our educational outreach efforts, developing new technologies to assist more teachers, students and members of the public in obtaining relevant, unbiased information on democracy and the U.S. Constitution. See our new website www.teachingcivics.org

• Help fill the funding gap in school budgets by providing scholarships for teacher training workshops and conferences, and student program supplies
