Evergreen Community Church is a non-denominational Christian church for people seeking an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ and desiring to have a compassionate impact on the Twin Cities. Evergreen has a unique ministry approach. We are a multi-site church with five different locations in the Twin Cities.

Although we meet in five different locations throughout the Twin Cities, Evergreen is one church. We chose this strategy to create unity, foster collaboration, construct pastoral accountability and maximize office efficiency. We operate according to the same church by-laws, are financially supported as one organization and all members become members of the same church.

Evergreen currently meets in Lakeville, Bloomington and New Hope. There are also two locations in Minneapolis under a different name: The Rock and The Urban Refuge. The Rock meets in Uptown and is an Evergreen church designed specifically to meet the needs of students, young couples and singles. The Urban Refuge meets in South Minneapolis and is an Evergreen church designed to meet the needs of urban and multicultural families.

BECOMING A 3-D CHURCH
The vision of Evergreen-Lakeville is to become a 3D church, transforming our community by attracting people to a life changing relationship with Jesus Christ and transforming communities by multiplying services and planting new locations.

DISCOVERING CHRIST
Discovering Christ is more than simply learning facts about Jesus’ life and mission. It is developing our eternal relationship with him.

DEVELOPING DISCIPLES
The church is God’s family designed to raise fully devoted followers of Christ. In his parting message to his church Jesus told them, “Go and make disciples of all nations.” (Matthew 28:19 NIV) To be a disciple of Christ we must go beyond simply knowing the teachings of Jesus, we must be taught to obey all that He commanded and teach others to do likewise. (Matthew 28:20) Learning to obey Jesus is not a solitary pursuit. It takes place in the local church as we serve and grow in close relationship with other disciples under God’s authority.

DELIVERING THE GOSPEL
Delivering the Gospel to the ends of the earth is the privilege and responsibility of all Christians. “We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us.” (2 Corinthians 5:20 NIV) As ambassadors we must be equipped and active in sharing our faith with others. To reach the world, we must build healthy, reproductive churches. To accomplish this, God gives each Christian unique gifts and talents and places them in a local church body. As we learn to love and work together, we fulfill our role in building the church. As our church grows and multiplies, we become a part of delivering the gospel to other communities.
