Local Artist Interviews

Local Artist Interviews (www.Local-Artist-Interviews.com) was created August 2010 with the goal of increasing exposure for Minnesota artists and arts organizations.

Local Artist Interviews is a collection of online interviews with Minnesota visual artists (and galleries). Visual artists of all levels of success are welcome and encouraged to answer 8 standard questions found on the LAI website, and to submit them with 5 jpgs of their work. At LAI, you will find interviews with emerging artists alongside experienced artists. This is done because of our belief that an artist does not need to be famous to have something interesting to say about art.

There are currently over 100 interviews on the site, and there are links to nearly 500 Minnesota artists. With each interview, Local Artist Interviews becomes a more complete online resource for people interested in local art.

With your tax deductible donation, made possible through the fiscal sponsorship program at Springboard For The Arts, Local Artist Interviews will be redesigning its website to allow greater search and browsing capabilities. Additional goals include increasing the participation of artists in greater Minnesota, and to coordinate with art galleries to help promote artists with upcoming exhibits.
