Up with Downs

I have three beautiful grandchildren, one of whom has Down syndrome. Avery is 6, Tate is 3 1/2 and Claire Elizabeth was born on August 3rd!

My sister, my 2 sons, my daughter-in-law and my son's girlfriend are undertaking the adventure of a lifetime! We're heading to Tanzania, Africa to climb Mt Kilimanjaro - the highest free-standing mountain in the world! And, we've decided to use this adventure to make a difference. We are raising money for Up With Downs - our local support group for families of individuals with Down syndrome and other disabilities. (The donations will go to Arc West Central but will all be passed through to Up With Downs.)

Please help us reach our goal of raising $5895 ($1 for meter that we climb.) Any amount will be greatly appreciated! And.... your donations are tax deductible!

As you know - Tate is our inspiration. Liz and Josh, Tate's parents and my daughter and son-in-law, are letting us 'borrow' their blog.
