KIDS CLOSET OF DULUTH

Kids Closet was organized in 1982 by retired teachers in cooperation with the Duluth Schools to equalize the opportunity for children to be adequately clothed for the classroom and the weather. Parents are given the opportunity to choose the items their children would use and love. Since we are 100% volunteer and housed in Bethany Lutheran Church, we are able to spend 99% of donated funds on the purchase of clothing, shoes and boots. This augments the used clothes which the community donates.

Each child referred by their school receives a winter jacket, snow pants, winter boots, hat, and mittens for the journey to school and new shoes, a new outfit and three used outfits for the classroom.
