JUNIOR LEAGUE OF ST PAUL INC
A US registered nonprofit

Saint Paul, MN USA
Junior League of St Paul is committed to voluntarism developing the potential of women, & improving communities through trained volunteers.

Through voluntarism, the Junior League of Saint Paul strengthens the Saint Paul community by focusing on abuse prevention and the education of women and children in need. Our commitment to service, training, education and leadership positively impacts our neighborhood and our members. Valuing friendship and diversity, we build a legacy of cooperation, collaboration and change.

Building Bonds through Reading and Play
The Junior League of Saint Paul’s current community service initiative is Building Bonds Through Reading and Play, which raises awareness and creates opportunities for adults and children to make healthy and beneficial connections through its Library Kids and Saint Paul Plays programs. Through these programs JLSP educates families on the importance of reading and playing to the healthy development and academic success of children. Studies show that how caregivers view a child is a critical factor in determining the potential for child abuse. While educating families, JLSP believes we will build bonds to prevent child abuse.

Library Kids
The Junior League of Saint Paul introduces pre-kindergarteners to the magic of reading and the resources of the public libraries by giving them their own book, reading lists and tips, and a library card voucher to bring a Saint Paul public library to register for the child’s first card. Reading is linked to the academic success and early introduction to reading brings that success to younger children.

Saint Paul Plays
The Junior League of Saint Paul brings the developmental value and connection-making power of play to Saint Paul families by partnering with Saint Paul Rec Centers and offering city-wide game nights. At the Rec Centers, adults and children have an opportunity to learn how to play and enjoy time together. The goal is to educate parents and caregivers about the importance of building strong bonds and how play can enhance the adult/child connection.

Your support, through a generous donation, will allow the Junior League of Saint Paul to continue to enhance the quality and impact of these programs in the Saint Paul community.
