Inspiring and Preparing Youth

Junior Achievement is the world's largest organization dedicated to educating students about college and career readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy through experiential, hands-on programs. Junior Achievement of the Upper Midwest, a regional chapter of JA, serves students throughout Minnesota, North Dakota and western Wisconsin. Utilizing a committed network of 7,000 volunteers, JAUM inspires and prepares young people to succeed in a global economy.

JA programs help students visualize their potential and own their future success. Our programs incorporate the principles of financial literacy, market based economics and entrepreneurial thinking to teach youth about the global economy and the responsibilities of citizenship, consumerism and employment. All JA programs are developed by professional educators and meet state education requirements in math, social studies, and language arts. Volunteers bring this programming to life, building the future of our community and our world by opening minds and creating opportunity.
