Raises funds for non-profit agencies serving Minnesota children and adults living with developmental disabilities and their families.

The Arc Greater Twin Cities has been working to make this a good life for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families in the Twin Cities for over 65 years. Those served by The Arc face many challenges, such as isolation, discrimination, economic hardship, risk for abuse, lack of employment and housing options. Advocacy from The Arc helps people by providing tools and training to overcome other challenges in the future. The Arc’s services include abuse prevention & awareness; information & assistance; long-term planning through the Lifetime Assistance Program; networking and Family Access groups; public policy advocacy; self-advocacy and sibling programs. Last year The Arc assisted over 2,000 people with information and advocacy and individuals participated more than 5,000 times in parent and sibling groups, workshops, family activities and other events. In 2011, about 23% of those served were from multicultural communities and 59% were from low-income households.

Does your support of The Arc Greater Twin Cities really matter? Yes! Your support and that of other generous souls who share our vision of making this a good life for people with disabilities and their families adds up and literally changes lives. Please help. Thank you!
