A therapeutic horse serves a broad range of clients and, over his or her career with We Can Ride, may provide more than 600 people in classes including therapeutic riding, hippotherapy and early childhood education. Therapeutic riding, carriage driving and hippotherapy are interactive experiences and each client develops an entirely unique relationship with their horse. Week after week, our therapy horses lovingly connect with their riders, providing them life-renewing therapeutic benefits. These includes relationship building, trust and improved self image. Additional documented benefits are: Increased muscle strength, flexibility and balance; improved vocalization, articulation, increased attention span and improved sensory integration.

As well as being an integral part of our programs, our horses are well cared for, beloved by our clients, staff and volunteers and are given the opportunity to live a life of great purpose for the entirety of their working days.
