This holiday season consider donating to charity. We'll make the world a little better for the new year.

  • Monty's owner abandoned him here but we have an adoption pending on him!
  • Part of a small bird flight area, made possible by a generous donation of time and supplies earlier this year
  • Clarabelle was a baby bird with splayed legs. Surgery was done, but sadly it wasn't enough to save her life.
  • Don't worry; Manu is playing with a plastic candy cane, not a real one!
  • Bing is a two year old Conure whose owner found him too noisy
  • Louie is a six year old Quaker that lost his home after a divorce
  • Caspian's owner left him for boarding and never came back
  • Winston lost his beak as a baby bird and has special needs, but has a new home!
  • Rusty's wing was amputated after being thrown against a wall. He is a sanctuary bird
  • These are just two of the 17 cockatiels that call Parrot Rescue Services home
  • Birdie was cage bound for seven years before coming here.
  • Gilligan and Tavi are a bounded pair of Cockatoos that call PRS home

The holidays always get so hectic, but this year, I wanted to celebrate the true spirit of the season; spending time with family and friends, being thankful for what we have, and giving to those less fortunate. I'm asking everyone I care about to donate to a cause I care about. With the support of friends and family I have built up a one person rescue to a non profit shelter devoted exclusively to unwanted pet parrots. There is so much more that needs to happen, though. We are quickly outgrowing this space and have a number of birds on a waiting list. Some of the situations are desperate, with longtime bird owners losing their homes and being forced to surrender pets. Please help me continue the work I started in 2003: helping unwanted pet parrots find a safe haven.
