On October 2, 2011, I will be running the Twin Cities Marathon – my 15th one! I’ve decided to run on behalf of Twin Cities RISE! -
Twin Cities RISE! – is a highly effective anti-poverty program that provides an 18 month work and life skills training program for adults living in deep poverty. Twin Cities RISE! trains under- and unemployed adults for skilled jobs that pay at least $20,000 annually so that at the end of the program participants will have full-time jobs with benefits. This is an incredible organization that helps many people completely change their lives for the better.
I would greatly appreciate any and all support in my fundraising efforts for this organization – no amount is too small! As I spend the next few months lacing up my shoes and enduring the heat and humidity of the Chicagoland area, running many miles to train for the Twin Cities Marathon, my motivation will be for the people living in poverty who are working to change their lives and all of the people who are helping them to do so. You can help too - by donating to this incredible cause.
Thank you so much for your support and on October 2, 2011, I will be running 26.2 miles in honor of each and every one of you and on behalf of Twin Cities RISE!
