Heartland Animal Rescue Team also known as HART is a non-profit organization who recieves it's money from donations, fundraising and adoptions. Each year HART takes in hundreds of cats and dogs, some of these are strays, some are impounded and some are personal surrenders. Reqardless of their previous history, all need food, shelter and medical care. All of this requires money. Whether it be $10 or $100 it all helps! No amount is too small it all adds up! Speaking for those who cannot speak for themselves! Making a difference one life at a time.

Vicki Peterson was one of the founding mother's of HART in 1987. It was her passion and dream to have every shelter animal altered. HART lost Vicki in 2001 and her family has carried on her passion with an annual plea for money each January in remembrance of Vicki's birthday. You can donate on line to the Vicki fund or watch for the plea letter and remittance envelope. HART does spay and neuter every animal that leaves the shelter, it is costly and this fund offsets these costs. Vicki's dream has come true.

    Sixteen years ago this month I adopted my now deceased beloved Sis, a beautiful Golden Retriever, from HART. She brought many years of joy and unconditional love to me!!

    Adopted 3 wonderful cats from HART this year after my dog and I lost our two feline friends. They are a wonderful addition to our family, and HART does wonderful work!
