HSC needs your help. Their are big plans ahead for a new facility and a bigger and better Science Center for northern Minnesota.

  • An inventor of the future designs and constructs a unique project
  • Surface tension is explored at the bubble wall
  • Animals are always fun and interesting
  • Fear of spiders? Not at HSC.
  • HSC is for young and old
  • A busy day on the exhibit floor
  • Quality family time with science and technology is the standard at HSC

Science stirs the imagination. It opens minds to new and exciting frontiers, from ridiculously tiny things in an atom to the mind-boggling hugeness of the Universe. Sometimes it takes a spark to ignite a sleepy imagination to undertake the discovery of things yet to be found, and to understand the complexities of our World.

Headwaters Science Center often provides this spark, offering a unique opportunity for young and old to begin this journey of discovery. Over 40 “hands-on” exhibits, a collection of live animals ready to reveal their innermost secrets, group demonstrations that are fun and educational covering 15 science topics presented by knowledgeable staff , and many special activities and programs - all combine for an exciting and rewarding experience at HSC.
