Hamline Midway Coalition is dedicated to making the Hamline Midway neighborhood a better place to live, learn, work, and play.

Hamline Midway Coalition (HMC) is an independent, community-based organization that is one of 17 District Councils in the City of Saint Paul. HMC serves the Hamline Midway neighborhood, an area bounded by University Avenue on the South, Pierce Butler Route on the North, Lexington Avenue on the East, and Transfer Road on the West.

HMC works on a wide range of issues in the neighborhood, from crime prevention to long-term sustainability. In addition, the Coalition partners with and supports the work of community volunteers on neighborhood improvement initiatives such as Paint the Pavement and efforts to keep the Hamline Midway Library open to the public.

    I love our neighborhood and can personally attest to the great work of the Hamline Midway Coalition in building grassroots community leadership. Thanks to HMC, I received leadership training and invaluable support as a Leadership in Service to Neighborhood (LISN) fellow. I now have the privilege of supporting the Hamline Midway community as an organizer. The Hamline Midway Coalition is a hub for many active community volunteers who work for the environment, youth, elders, independent businesses, healthy local foods, our beloved library, historical preservation, the arts, and much more.
