GSMWLP Family Partnership

Did you know…none of the $12 membership fee you pay stays with our local council? It all goes directly to Girl Scouts of the USA for program development, insurance coverage for your Girl Scout, and support services.

It currently costs Girl Scouts of Minnesota and Wisconsin Lakes and Pines $256 to provide a comprehensive leadership experience for each girl member. The Cookie and Fall Product programs support $178 of this cost, leaving $78 to be provided by contributions from participating Girl Scout families and community partners. These dollars stretch a long way to cover volunteer development, communication & ongoing council support, Financial Assistance for girl membership, camp & program opportunities, and access to local Girl Scout offices.

If you would like to join our Family Partnership, there are many ways to donate!

Any size gift is greatly appreciated, there is no set amount. For a gift of $25 or more, your Girl Scout will receive our 100th Anniversary Family Partnership Patch to display on the back of her vest or sash.

Girl Scouts began a century ago, and amidst the progress, barriers to girls’ success and full potential remain. We choose to be Family Partners and hope you’ll join us in developing a new kind of leader – a girl who raises her hand to question; a teenager who leads by principle rather than popularity; a young adult who knows she has what it takes to lead the way for others.
