Thanks to all who helped Groveland earn more from the Minnesota FoodShare Campaign. Adding up the totals now but they look GRREAT! :-)
Groveland Food Shelf is made up of three programs. The first is a "neighborhood" food shelf serving adults and families living in a specific geographic area near downtown Minneapolis. The second program, Groveland Food For Youth serves homeless youth from anywhere in the Twin Cities up to age 23 through a collaboration with Pillsbury House's "Street Survival" program. The third program, Student Depot, began in 2013. It is a satelite food shelf in collaboration with MCTC on their campus. The food shelf was founded by four local churches in 1974. Since 2003 it has operated as an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation now supported by five church congregations and many community organizations, foundations and corporations.
