Service to Members:
Create a supportive atmosphere for the creation and enjoyment of orchestral music by non-professional musicians. Provide an opportunity for fellowship between musicians from all walks of life.

Service to the Community:
Enhance, enrich and expand the musical experiences available to the community. Support continuing musical education through informative and entertaining performances

The Golden Valley Orchestra is a "large chamber" or "classical-sized" ensemble of approximately 30 players. Its non-paid performers come from the ranks of both professional and amateur musicians. The GVO has the distinction of becoming the first Twin Cities orchestra - professional or amateur - to produce a series of dedicated programs for local Twin Cities television.
