Your gift to GCN supports our work with indigenous people by funding the development projects they lead in their villages.

Discovering the world of differences we all have in common.

Global Citizens Network (GCN) sends teams of volunteers to developing communities where local people are involved in grassroots efforts to meet their human and community needs. GCN trip participants assist indigenous people by providing mental and physical labor for the locally initiated development projects they lead in their communities. With our focus on cross-cultural exchange, GCN trip participants have the opportunity to experience life in another culture by living with local people, eating local foods and sharing in local festivities and traditions. Trips are one, two or three weeks in length and are led by a trained team leader.

Past projects have included building a health clinic in a Maasai village, renovating a youth center on the Navajo reservation and planting an organic garden in Nepal. In 2011, we have established new partnerships in Puno, Peru; Guntur, India; Tamil Nadu, India; and Pernambuco, Brazil.

As we approach our 20th Anniversary year, our total commitment has grown to over 20 partner communities since Global Citizens Network was founded in 1992. Our partners include: Now more than ever, your support is needed to sustain these collaborative projects and expand our global network.

Your gift to Global Citizens Network’s Community Development Project Fund will support our work with indigenous people by directly funding the development projects they lead in their villages.

Thank you for the mother/daughter volunteer experience provided 3 years ago. Our trip participants and GCN leaders facilitated an invaluable growth experience for my 12 year old as well as meeting the goals of our work in the community. We hope to work with you again in the future. Thank you for the work you do and for the opportunities you provide to others. Pat (and Kristina) McNamara

I donate in honor of our host community partners, return & future trip participants, and volunteers (board members, interns, and more!). Without all of you, we would just be a few people sitting in an office with dreams, but no action, connection, or relationships. That's what it's all about, after all. Asanteni sana!

GCN does wonderful things throughout the world, fosters friendships & cultural understanding, believes, as do I, that we are all one people, no matter where we live, what we believe or what color our skin is, and they so deserve our support. Please check 'em out!
