Garden-in-a-Box is an exciting program pilot tested in the 2008 growing season. The program distributes small raised gardening beds, along with soil, vegetable plants, and beginning gardening classes, to low income households in the Twin Cities. The response has been wonderful and each year the program grows. This next year we would like to take the program into schools to help educate our youth in the many benefits of growing and eating food grown in your own backyard. Help us meet the demand and expand the program so more families can start gardens of their own.
