Hillcrest Recreation Center does not currently have a US flag publicly displayed outdoors at its main entrance. Efforts are underway to seek public donations to purchase a flagpole and US flag for installation at the rec center. Highland District Council is supporting this project by acting as fiscal sponsor for donations and helping spread the word. Donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law. Upon completion of the installation, public flag display responsibilities will be assumed by city park and recreation staff.
