Fine Arts

Like most public schools, South is not immune to budget cuts. Help ensure the continuation of our nationally recognized programs by assisting the Foundation in establishing a fund that is focused on the arts. These departments need money just to operate at normal levels. A tuba or bass for band is $5,000 each, a decent budget just for paints and paper for visual arts is $2,500. The theater instructor costs $20,000. These and many more needs can be met by the establishment of a perpetual fund from which the teachers can draw to cover costs for upkeep and ongoing programs.
