We shelter and care for homeless cats and seek permanent homes. We also support spay/neuter work. Feline Rescue is a no-kill program.

Feline Rescue, Inc. is a Minnesota based no-kill companion cat rescue organization. Our founders established Feline Rescue in 1997 in Minneapolis, MN as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We are an all volunteer organization, with no paid staff. We are funded exclusively through donations and grants. We receive no municipal, state, or federal funding.

We provide rescue and relief to the homeless and endangered cats in our community through programs that offer shelter, foster, social and medical rehabilitation, feral and stray management, spay/neuter subsidy, and community education.

We operate a shelter where the majority of or cats are free to roam. Volunteer crews come in twice a day to clean the shelter and socialize with the cats. They provide a safe, caring environment while giving the attention and affection the cats deserve.

In addition to our shelter and adoption services we have a foster care network for our kittens and cats with special needs.

A number of fundraisers are held during the year. At these events, information concerning the mission of the shelter is available and also educational material on cats is distributed.

Donations, adoption fees, fund raising events and matching grants are our primary sources of income. All donations go directly to the care, feeding and medical needs of our cats.

Thank you for caring for my friends. Pets have had a great impact on my family, specially cats. Our cat Daisy is very close to my sister Emily who has Autism and is mentally retarded. Daisy is more than just a cat to my sister, she is the one who sees and excepts my sister for her downfalls and her many gifts. Daisy is the closest thing to a friend my sister has. Daisy is only a cat, yes, but cats have the power to make humans feel something that few humans can make you feel: beautiful. The cats you guys take care of might end up in a home where their is a disabled person who is in desperate need of a friend who judges on whats trully important. Only our cat Daisy has the power to brake through the sheilds of autism and reach the person who lies underneth them. We can say positive things to my sister but only Daisy can make her feel it. Daisy helps my sister feel needed and loved, something that I cannot do. I cannot brake through autism and mental retardation, but our pets can. Thanks for helping these cats. Cats are valuable and make humans feel valuable. Thank you for perserving a futurre for the human-animal bond.

This is a group of all volunteers who do what it takes to help a cat in need. If we find them at the shelter and they have to go home with someone, some one will take them home to care for them till they can get a forever home. these are the nicest bunch of cat people you will meat.
