A CLIENT THANK YOU... "I just wanted to take the time to say ‘thank you so much.’ Not for just being able to physically help us, but for not making us feel bad about asking for help. I wanted to give you a teminder that doing what you do is changing lives. When I walked out of there today I realized that, yes, my family has been changed by the bad things that have happened, but we don’t have to be reduced by them. Without struggles there is not strength. May God bless your life, like you have blessed so many others."
Senior Services helps improve the quality of life for older adults and their families by providing Companionship, Adult Day Break, Advocacy, and Education helping older adults live independently for a s long as possible.
A CLIENT'S STORY...Luella has been a participant in the Lindstorm Gathering since 2011. Duane, her husband, is grateful when Luella attends because he can take a break from the demands of caregiving. He uses his time to give piano lessons. He often remarks, "this is a life line." Without it, he might have to consider her placement in a skilled nursing facility and
he wants all the time he can have with his wife of 56 years.
Youth Services serves under-advantaged, at-risk, and special needs youth with programs that help build assets and skills necessary to become economically independent, healthy, and caring adults.
A CLIENT'S STORY...Lily is confined to a wheelchair. Many doubted her ability to participate in basic activities. However, with the help of the Circle of Friends program, she has been canoeing, camping, rock climbing, to the zoo, baseball games, and prom. She is healthier, her grades have improved, she is more confident, and serves as a role model to others who struggle.
