"Sandy came to us at the end of summer. She literally had nowhere to go or stay after her car broke down. She was fleeing a violent boyfriend and hitchhiked the last part of her trip to live near her sister. Sandy stayed in a tent for two weeks. Each morning one of our staff would pick Sandy up and bring her to our Evergreen Youth Services site to shower, wash her clothes, and have a meal. Then staff would help her apartment hunt and work on employment applications. Today Sandy has her own apartment and a job." We offer our deep appreciation for the community support for Evergreen that enables our staff to continue to help homeless kids. The Evergreen Board

A Critical Year for Your Support:
Evergreen has been hit hard by Federal sequestration and the resulting end of Federal grants we have relied upon for many years. Sequestration significantly reduces grant funds through 2014 that provide housing for youth, food, emergency assistance, and pay site rent and agency operations costs.
Every gift helps.
A recurring gift of $10, $15, or $25 each month makes a large impact over a year's time. If you are in a position to make a larger gift, are interested in a planned gift, or would like to support our endowment, we welcome your help. Please contact Executive Director, Becky Schueller, at 218-308-9005 (direct line) to discuss your plans and questions.
There is tremendous need in our community and we thank you for the outstanding community support we receive. All of our services are free to youth and families. Your support helps us keep our services free and accessible. Mii-gwech. We thank you for your generosity.
