MARRIAGE ENCOUNTER INC
Financial scholarship for returning military, unemployed or under-employed couples to enrich and give hope to their marriages.
Since 1972, Marriage Encounter has had a rich tradition of celebrating, serving and saving marriages of couples in Minnesota and surrounding states, with a low-cost program, sustained by free-will or value-based donations. We are a very lean, inter-faith organization funded by the tax-deductible donations of attendees.
With 1 out of 2 marriages ending in divorce, it is evident couples need help. The experience serves the spiritual and emotional needs of married couples by helping them to openly and honestly communicate, without any group sharing, therapy or marriage counseling. The benefits of Marriage Encounter in our communities are: more stable, spiritual, growing and nurturing married couples and healther families. Statistics show that an intact family contributes to stable growth of children for generations to come. The future transformation of our world begins at the heart of society ~ the couple.
Marriage Encounter helps build stronger marriages through better communication. Following are a few answers to; "Why did you come here?" and "What have you achieved?"
“Our marriage was headed for divorce and more than anything I prayed we would prevent it and restore our love and marriage. We received peace, communication, love, kindness, graciousness and renewal.”
"Thank God for this program! We want to rebuild our marriage to have a good and strong foundation. Opened my mind to a new way to communicate with each other, renewed our love and rebuilt our marriage.”
“Our therapist encouraged us to attend to try to save our relationship. Hopefully a partner that realizes how commitment and communication are vital to “us” working. Without these two ingredients you have no chance.”
“Stress on our relationship brought us here. Developed a better understanding of how my spouse feels.”
“We wanted to make a good marriage better. Broke down walls, removed masks.”
“A crisis in our marriage. A renewed vision and purpose for our marriage.”
“Holy Spirit brought us here. We received tools and guidance for our marriage future.”
