It is the mission of the Down Syndrome Association of Minnesota to provide information, resources and support to individuals with Down syndrome, their families and their communities.

Programs and services offered by the Down Syndrome Association of Minnesota:

  • Down Comforter information packets for parents of infants with Down syndrome and for expectant parents with a prenatal diagnosis of Down syndrome
  • Parent support groups
  • Parent-to-parent visitation in hospital or home
  • New parent breakfast
  • Information packets for grandparents
  • Special Times, our member newsletter
  • Voices & Choices - newsletter written by and for people with Down syndrome
  • Solutions - a newsletter for educators
  • Resource Lending Library
  • Annual walks in St. Paul and Duluth, MN
  • Meetings featuring speakers on a wide range of topics
  • Biennial Regional conference, conferences for youth and adults with Down syndrome, educators and Grandparents
  • Adult Health Care Management Program and
  • Referrals Speakers bureau
  • The Association Web site at www.dsamn.org

    I love what DS association of Minnesota is doing to help people that are challenged with ds. However, I really appreciate how they are educating people like me to understand the gift these individuals are to us as a society. They have more to contribute than I ever realized. On a personal level, a 2 year old named Winston who is challenged with ds but inspite of it, has so deeply my heart with who he is, It has deepened my love & respect for anyone challenged in that way.Thank You.
