I work at A-SPAN in a really neat role. I'm in charge of our volunteer programs, so I get to work with the community to help us accomplish our mission of ending homelessness. Whether I'm leading a group of volunteers painting at the Emergency Winter Shelter or I'm scheduling a family to prepare bagged meals on our Homeless Bagged Meal Program, I get to make things happen for A-SPAN via volunteer time and energy. And now we need your money!

As a cause, ending homelessness doesn't always attract the attention that many other causes do because it isn't new, it won't be solved easily, and it reflects societal problems all around us.

By getting people into safe and decent housing, and assigning them caring case managers to help them settle in, we can end homelessness one person at a time, town by town, city by city. And in the process tackle those systems that allow so many people to fall into homelessness.

At A-SPAN, we are ending homelessness for our neighbors every day. I hope you will give at least $10 to our cause.
