My Story:

I have to admit that my life has been pretty charmed. I had great parents that truly loved each other, siblings that provided entertainment, love and diversity, a home to come to at the end of the day, food in my belly, and people in my life that helped guide me through tough times.

While I understood that this was not the case with everyone, until I moved to Plymouth in 1999 I didn't fully grasp how lost some children can become. My experiences with Bolder Options began with a friendship and grew into an opportunity.

I am not a mentor. I do not work with the kids one-on-one. But I have spent time with the mentors and the energy that buzzes about the room when they talk about their mentees is truly amazing. These people are filled with so much hope, determination and love that sometimes it makes my head spin. I am in awe of their energy and bouyed by their success in giving their mentees the support they need to make different choices in their lives.
