Special needs adoptions. 1/3 of the funds raised will help support adoptions of children with special needs (eg. Reece's Rainbow www.reecesrainbow.org). Dan & Gretchen's son, Stas, was discovered through Reece's Rainbow. Reece's Rainbow is a charity which advocates and fundraises for the international adoption of children with Downs Syndrome and other disabilities. In 2010 Reece's Rainbow was named People Magazine's Hero of the Year. In the U.S., most babies diagnosed with Down Syndrome never make it to delivery. There is no shortage of families wanting to adopt children with Down syndrome, just a shortage of funds for international adoption. Thank you for making a family a reality for these children.
