Five-Year Impact (2006-2010)

6,600 people were connected to local volunteer opportunities - including vital sandbagging and flood relief efforts in communities throughout the Greater St. Croix Vally - via our Volunteer Center.

The Community Thread Senior Centers in Stillwater and Bayport offered a variety of programming to more than 1,500 participants every month, with an average of 17,000 visits each year.

The Medical Reserve Corps grew from 60 to 484 members who have been trained and remain on call to respond to local, state and national emergencies.

Through the Holiday Bureau, more than 500 volunteers sponsored 2,800 children, parents, seniors, and adults with disabilities experiencing difficult times at the holidays.

The Transportation Program helps meet a critical need for access to community and medical services, thereby enabling people to lead healthy, independent lives. Volunteer drivers provided 6,555 rides and logged more than 275,000 miles assisting those in need.

Members of the Neighborhood Service Exchange provided 9,900 service exchanges ranging from household assistance like cleaning, painting and chores to yard work and business-related services.
