Community Reinvestment Fund, USA
Community Reinvestment Fund, USA (CRF), a national nonprofit, puts Americans back to work by financing small business growth.
OUR VISION
Jobs are on everyone’s minds these days, but for Community Reinvestment Fund, USA (CRF), the focus began in 1988. The vision was clear: Improve lives, strengthen communities. The tools were innovative and effective: Connect communities with capital and help provide funding for small business owners and entrepreneurs to expand their businesses and hire new employees, who in turn, stabilize neighborhoods.
COMMITMENT TO JOB CREATION
The current economic crisis has blindsided nearly everyone, but nowhere has the devastation been felt more acutely than in vulnerable low-income communities. CRF is a nonprofit organization and certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) dedicated to helping small businesses get the financing they need to expand, hire, and succeed.
Formed in 1988, CRF has injected more than $1.3 billion into economically disadvantaged communities around the country to help create jobs ensuring long term growth and stability for neighborhoods in need.
IMPACTING THE LIVES OF MORE THAN 500,000 PEOPLE
As a result of the funding CRF provides, workers in low-income communities have increased job opportunities; business owners are able to grow and expand their businesses, resulting in a more stable economic base for their families; more affordable housing units are constructed, providing safe homes; community facilities are improved, promoting a higher quality of life and infrastructure for the community; and minority-, women-, and immigrant-owned businesses are given opportunity.
Since inception, CRF has touched the lives of more than 500,000 families across America resulting in:
- 47,000 jobs created and retained
- 17,000 affordable housing units
- 427,000 people served at community facilities
Now more than ever, communities need the financial resources available through CRF.
