Commonbond Communities
A US registered nonprofit

St. Paul, MN USA
Building affordable homes, hope and community since 1971

“Without this opportunity, I would have had to move my kids to a shelter. Now, we’re in a stable, affordable home, and instead of frantically trying to make ends meet, I’m able to spend time making plans and goals for our future.” - Lonja, a resident of CommonBond's Vicksburg Commons

Founded in 1971, CommonBond Communities has grown to become the largest provider of affordable housing in the Upper Midwest. Over 8,000 people, including 2,000 children, call CommonBond home. Many would not have adequate housing without a CommonBond home.

However, despite this impact, we your need help meeting the growing need. Nearly 6,000 people are currently on the wait-list for a CommonBond home.

These homes mean more than housing. Donor funded Advantage Services, located on-site at CommonBond homes, provide supportive services to help residents achieve success. The services vary by the housing communities' needs, but can include:
- comprehensive employment and financial literacy programs
- one-on-one academic youth mentoring
- On-site health clinics designed to help seniors stay health and mobile
- Computer labs and technology resources
- Community boards that partner neighbors with residents to make a difference in the broader community

"I would not be standing here today or would have had this opportunity if it was not the angels, the individuals that walked in though doors of CommonBond's Advantage Center. It is because of them that I have managed to finished high school, managed to go to college and stay away from trouble." Bibi, former CommonBond resident
