Up with Downs

I'm doing it!!!

Climbing Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa, has been top on my bucket list for some time. After finding out this was also a goal of my nephews, John, we set out to make it a reality.

Along with my sister Jane, my nephew John and his girlfriend Christina, my nephew Jeff and his wife Terese, we are undertaking the adventure of a lifetime! We will be climbing Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa! We've decided to use this adventure to make a difference. We are raising money for Up With Downs - our local support group for families of individuals with Down syndrome and other disabilities. (The donations will go to Arc West Central but will all be passed through to Up With Downs.)

This cause is near and dear to my heart as I have a beautiful 3 year old great nephew with Downs Syndrome. Tate is a gift to our family and I believe changes lives for the better on a day to day basis! What could be better than raising money for a good cause and having family along for the adventure!
