Clean-A-Thon

On April 30, 2011, take up the challenge of spending a Saturday morning cleaning the homes or doing the yard work of Nokomis area seniors. By supporting the Clean-a-thon event, which does any type of housework that the seniors can’t do themselves, you can help a neighborhood senior stay in the home they love!

The Clean-a-thon will raise vital funds for the Nokomis Healthy Seniors program (NHS) and provide direct support for the services that NHS provides for seniors in the community. Services include free health clinics, free health programs, coordination of care, and volunteer assistance are all provided by NHS.

We have a large fundraising goal for the NHS Clean-a-thon event. The expected cost of the event is $100, while our fundraising goal for the NHS Clean-a-thon event is $4000. Create a team and set a fundraising target ($250- $500 is suggested) or make a direct donation. 100% of your donation will go directly to provide needed services to area seniors. The NHS program saves the State of Minnesota over one million dollars a year simply by supporting seniors in the community.

Start off with a personal donation of $50. Your donation will bring NHS closer to their goal and help Nokomis area seniors stay safely in their own homes. NHS will provide a letter acknowledging your support of the event and the Nokomis Healthy Seniors program.
