Citizens for a Loring Park Community is the official neighborhood association for the Loring Park neighborhood.
The Mission of Citizens for a Loring Park Community (CPLC) is to cultivate continuing leadership and help a diverse neighborhood realize a more harmonious, thriving, and beautiful community.
CLPC has four main areas of focus:
Community livability: improve safety. promote livability and host events. Annual events include: Loring Park Music Festival, PRIDE Festival, Aquatennial Pre-Parade Party, National Night Out, Holiday Party & Curry Dinner.
Economic vitality: support and strengthen unique cultural and economic assets, including: educational and religious institutions, ethnic restaurants, and designers, artists, entrepreneurs, writers, programmers and inventors.
Sustainability: promote energy and resource efficiency and environmental quality. Loring Park hopes to become the first LEED-ND certified existing neighborhood in the country.
Historic preservation: preserve the historic buildings in the Loring Hill and Harmon Districts.
