CWDC views dance and related art forms as vital contributors to our individual development as humans and our collective life in communities.

Last season was a banner one for CWDC. It started off with a September performance in Kinetic Kitchen at Patrick’s Cabaret. In December we presented a repertory concert titled You Are Here, at the new JSB Tek Box Theater at the Cowles Center for Dance in December. In March we took that show to Duluth for a collaborative concert with Juliana Bertelson’s company at the Marshall Fregeau Auditorium. Dances at the Lakes in July (our 12th annual festival!) was a great success again and we performed in our sister festival, Dances on the Lakewalk, in Duluth later that month. The season concluded with another week at Camp Unistar in Northern Minnesota where we taught classes in the morning and spent afternoons shooting a fun new dance video that features the campers who participated in our classes. The video will premiere in our May 2014 concert. It was an exciting season!

Coming this season are Dance and Desserts in February, a full evening repertory concert in May—again at JSB Tek Box Theater—and our annual Dances at the Lakes festival in July.

We count on support from our generous individual donors like you to help defray the costs of creating and presenting our art. We hope you’ll be able to contribute to our 2013‐2014 season.

Thank you!
